Who We Are

The Greenville House of Prayer (GHOP), founded on May 8, 2007, is a community of disciples that serve Jesus and His Kingdom's purposes in Greenville, SC.

GHOP's leadership is made up of believers from several congregations in our area that desire for God’s Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

We are committed to promoting and facilitating worship, prayer, and biblical discipleship to advance the Kingdom of God in our city and the nations of the earth. 


Our Mission

Our mission is to co-labor with Holy Spirit and the Body of Christ in promoting and facilitating worship and prayer in Greenville SC for the purpose of:

  • Fulfilling the Great Commission.

  • Uniting the Body of Christ.

  • Exalting the Name of Jesus.

  • Loving God and Loving People.

These are the four mandates that FUEL our mission of contending for worship and prayer to be established in the Body of Christ in our city.


OUR METHODS

GHOP works with the Holy Spirit and the Body of Christ to promote and facilitate worship and prayer in Greenville, SC by:

  • Hosting worship and prayer gatherings in our city.

  • Promoting worship and prayer gatherings city.

  • Training and discipleship focused on/rooted in worship and prayer.

OUR FOCUSES

The are several prayer focuses that the Lord has highlighted to us and we consistently pray for and work towards these efforts in our networks. We are believing God for breakthrough and Kingdom advancement in these area.

  • Israel and the Middle East.

    • We pray for the salvation of the Jews, Arabs and other people groups in Israel

    • We pray for the expansion and strengthening of the Church in the nation of Israel.

    • We pray for local pastors and leaders in our area to gain increased revelation and understanding of the importance of Israel in God’s end time plan

  • Justice Issues

    • We pray for the ending of abortion and human trafficking

    • We pray for Racial Reconciliation and Unity.

    • We pray for the orphaned and widowed.

    • We are believing specifically for local breakthroughs in our area and for the Church as whole to arise and point people to Jesus who is the answer to the injustices in our world.

  • Missions and the Nations

    • We pray for the Great Commission to be fulfilled starting with the Gospel of the Kingdom being preached in every people group.

    • We pray for missionaries all over the world, and for more laborers to be sent out to reap a great harvest of souls.

    • We pray specifically for missionaries and missionary support to be sent out of our area.

    • We pray for the the persecuted church, especially those who are in some of the hardest and darkest places of the earth.

  • Local Churches

    • We pray specifically for local churches, pastors and leaders in our area.

    • We pray for a greater Revelation of Jesus, Repentance where needed, and Revival to be released to the many churches in our area. (See our Local Church Prayer Initiative)

  • Leaders and Authorities

    1. We pray for leaders and authorities in the various spheres of influence.

    2. We especially pray for our governmental leaders, believing for righteousness and justice to be established in the government of our nation.

This is just a brief overview of some of the things we pray as they relate to these main focus areas. We will follow the Holy Spirit’s leadership outside of these topics as the need arises.
